Harbinger of Battle
It Begins in Elsir Vale *.
The world has never been a safe place. Bastions of civilization populate a dark, menacing world — islands of order and reason exist in a land otherwise overrun by dark cults, vile monsters, creatures from the dark edges of the imagination, and worse. As deadly as the world is on a normal day, something has begun to stir on the fringes of the civilized Elsir Vale. Formerly the site of an attack by an army known as the Red Hand, the Vale has known several years of peace since brave adventurers stormed into the teeth of the approaching Hand and sent them scurrying back into the darkness.
Now it seems that adventurers are again needed, the town of Brindol has been besieged by hobgoblin raids, hobgoblins wearing the symbol of The Red Hand. Several citizens have been kidnapped and relics of the last battle have been stolen. But a ray of hope has come in the form of a small band of roving adventurers; an unlikely mix of desert druid, northern barbarian and wandering bard they have taken it upon themselves to help the city of Brindol and rescue its people.
Little do they know that this is just the start of their saga.
- - For game purposes Elsir Vale has been inserted into the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. The city of Brindol has replaced the city of Loudwater, east of The Sword Coast and north of The High Moor.
